Laura Serna Cardona (Bogotá, 1997) holds a degree in Fine and Visual Arts from the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas. Her work centers on an interest in corporeality as a woman, the existence of her body in space, and the connection to animality and the wild as tools in the search for meaning.

For this residency, in collaboration with Proyecto H and Marchante, Laura visited and lived in Mexico City
for the first time, developing this exhibition through different practices—painting, ceramics, and installation—all shaped by her experience of inhabiting the Mexican capital.

La Luz Rompe speaks to the inevitable cycle of life and death, understanding transfiguration as a vital process that is as beautiful as it is painful, and necessary for existence.
